The Vehicle
Please provide details of the type of vehicle (car, van, motorbike etc), make, model, colour and the number plate. It is
useful if you can provide details of the condition of the vehicle. The form includes a series of questions that make it easy for you to provide us with this information. If the vehicle is not displaying a current tax disc, then please let us know.
If you have a digital camera and can take a picture of the vehicle, please use the image upload facility to provide us with a picture of the vehicle. The file format supported is .jpg, and the maximum file size allowed is 500 kByte.
The Location
Please give as much information as you can about the location of the vehicle. An online map is provided as part of the form, for pinpointing the location. Clicking on the map will enter a map reference automatically. This information is very useful for locating the vehicle for inspection. In addition, a written description of the location can be submitted, along with any information you can provide on the type of road (eg public/private) and whether there are any difficulties or obstacles in recovering the vehicle.
Contact Information
The last page asks for contact information about you, the reporter of the abandoned vehicle. This information will only be used if the investigating official feels that you may be able to provide additional information which could help with the process of removing the reported vehicle. The information provided can only be accessed by authorised users of the system, and only for the purpose of dealing with the case, all contact information is removed after the case is resolved.
