What is Operation Crackdown’s Privacy Policy?

The information you provide – your contact details and the details of your report – will be treated in confidence. The information stored in the Operation Crackdown database is only used by Sussex Police to record incidents of anti-social driving and provide a picture of these incidents across the county. We will not share your data with any other Force or third party (e.g. insurance companies) unless required to do so by law (for example, under a court order). What happens if someone makes a false report to Crackdown?

We research every report to establish that the information is correct and has not been provided maliciously. Submitting unfounded or malicious reports is an offence and we can take action against the reporter.
